While the game of golf has been around for centuries, the PGA of America is constantly developing innovative solutions to adapt to the changing nature of the game and the world. We are especially proud of our award-winning partnership with Tata Interactive Services for developing the “Business Operations and Strategy Simulation-based Training” for our members.

This team-based, instructor-led simulation allows PGA Members to manage a realistic virtual golf club, allowing them to put their business skills to the test in competitions with other members. The goal is for members to take risks, and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a virtual setting, and then apply them to real-life business development situations they face on a daily basis. Over the course of our partnership, we have created 17 simulations that help our Membership handle the challenges that exist in a dynamic marketplace. We have also worked with Cornell University and Skillsoft, a global leader in online learning, to develop simulations. These courses are currently open to all PGA Members and will become mandatory for new participants in the coming years. To date, this business simulation has been rolled out at 13 Sections, at PGA Shows and at the PGM Directors meeting.
