The growth of the Ryder Cup, a signature PGA event and one of the greatest events in sports, has spurred interest in golf outside of the United States.

The event, held once every two years, alternates between sites in the United States (hosted by the PGA of America) and in Europe every two years. The format of the event—two sessions of four-ball, and two sessions of foursomes over the first two days, and one day of singles play—brings an exciting and unique spectator experience and has attracted new viewers to the event.
