Meet Our Panelists

Jonathan Coachman: Jonathan Coachman, or as he is widely known as The Coach, is a national sportscaster who has a very unique background in sports and sports entertainment. The Coach began his career with the WWE in many different roles including on air, producing, and branding. He also spent almost 10 years at ESPN hosting popular shows like SportsCenter, First Take, and Mike and Mike in the Morning. Coach also was the voice for digital highlights at The Masters for 2016 and 2017. He is also one of the voices for the popular NFL game Madden. Coach’s passion in addition to sports is providing guidance and mentorship for young people trying to navigate their lives through high school, college, and eventually the real world. We are excited to have Coach as an ambassador for PGA Works as he connects with young people very well and also understands the different and incredible ways that the game of golf can turn into a terrific career…And he is driven to help us spread the message worldwide as we grow the game and grow the number of young people who work within the game.

Sandy Cross: Sandy Cross, the Chief People Officer of the PGA of America and a member of the PGA of America staff since 1996, focuses on creating opportunities to stretch, lead, grow and have fun, by supporting learning and development, coaching, recognition and reward, and making a positive social impact in the communities where the PGA team works and lives.

Dee Robinson: Dee Robinson founded Robinson Hill, Inc. in 1993, a concessions management firm with a portfolio of award-winning national and local brands such as Ben and Jerry’s Super Premium Ice Cream and Einstein Bros Bagels. Dee has served on LaRabida Children’s Hospital board and the advisory boards for Meridian Healthcare and Kendall College. Other involvements include the Airport Minority Advisory Council, Executive Club’s Mentorship Initiative and the Committee for Amazon HQ2.

Suzy Whaley, PGA: The first woman ever elected to serve as an Officer of the PGA of America, PGA President and PGA Master Professional Suzy Whaley is the PGA Director of Instruction for the Country Club at Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. After serving two years as PGA Secretary, and two years as Vice President, Whaley was elected as the PGA of America’s first female President in November 2018. A dual member of the PGA of America and LPGA Teaching & Club Professional division, Whaley was an LPGA Tour member in 1990 and 1993. She famously qualified and participated in the 2003 Greater Hartford Open, becoming the first woman since Babe Zaharias in 1945 to qualify for a PGA Tour event. Whaley also serves on both the ANNIKA Foundation Board and the PGA Tour Policy Board.

Lamell McMorris: Lamell McMorris is the founder and CEO of the Washington, DC-based company Phase 2 Consulting. He is also the founding principal of Greenlining Realty USA dedicated to reversing the historical effect of redlining in low-income communities through developing affordable housing and vibrant commercial corridors. Additionally, Mr. McMorris is a non-lawyer partner of LaFlam, LLP where he collaborates with the firm’s attorneys to drive growth and expand opportunities.

Jon Easterbrook Jr., PGA: John Easterbrook Jr., PGA, joined the PGA of America in January of 2017 as the Association’s first Chief Membership Officer. He directs the PGA Member-focused areas of the Association including PGA Career Services, Education, Member Services and Section Business Operations. In addition, he oversees PGA Golf Properties, which includes PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida; and Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky. He also briefly served as Interim CEO before Seth Waugh was named CEO of the PGA of America in September 2018.

Nerissa Robinson: Nerissa Robinson has been with the PGA TOUR for six years and is currently the Diversity & Talent Manager in the Talent & Culture department. She performs various Human Resource functions, but considers the highlight of her role to be speaking with students. In 2017, Nerissa was selected to participate in the golf industry’s diversity & inclusion strategy lab – ASPIRE. In 2018 & 2019, she served on the planning committee of a local event to host high school students to hear from various sports industry leaders about their career paths. She currently serves on the 2020 & 2021 Selection Committee for the National Sports Forum’s diversity cohort.

Bill Whaley: Bill Whaley has been in the role of National Director of Golf with PGA TOUR’s, Golf Course Properties for the past 10 years.  In 1997 Bill started with the PGA TOUR as the General Manager of TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CT.  Bill also held positions as a Regional then Senior Regional for the TPC Network while working up to his current position. Bill lives in West Palm Beach, FL with his wife Suzy. Bill also has 2 adult daughters Jenn and Kelly who have become successes in their own careers. Bill has worked as Lead Instructor For Suzy Whaley Golf Academy, General Manager \ Director of Golf,  Ibis Golf and Country Club, Instructor for the Jim Flick Golf Schools as well as Director of Golf , Inverrary Country Club.  He began his career playing on the US, Asian and Australian tours rounding out what has been and continues to be a great career in Golf.

Rachel Mabee: Rachel Mabee is the PGA WORKS Program Specialist for PGA REACH, the 501(c)3 foundation of the PGA of America. She is responsible for the oversight and overall execution of PGA REACH’s inclusion initiative, PGA WORKS. In addition to serving as an integral part of the internal and external communication for all PGA REACH activities, Mabee’s main role is to help lead the charge for PGA WORKS; as it pursues its mission is to establish a deep bench of diverse talent who are prepared to ascend to key employment positions in the game and business of golf.

DeAngelo Simmons: DeAngelo Simmons is the CEO of BDS Sports Agency, which according to, is a top 25 nationally ranked agency for the past five years. Since its inception 14 years ago, Simmons has been able to negotiate a total of $200 million dollars in player contracts, endorsements and sponsorship agreements. After gaining tremendous success in the realm of sports agency, DeAngelo embarked on a new journey by becoming CEO of CORE4, a basketball training facility located in Atlanta, GA. Along with basketball training, CORE4 houses a post graduate and undergraduate program, which was developed specifically for student-athletes to prepare for a collegiate career with the tools to perform at peak levels both on and off the court. Soon after the launch of CORE4, DeAngelo was able to solidify a deal between client/nephew Paul Millsap, and the PGA. Backed by Millsap’s passion for golf, Paul was named the first ever PGA WORKS
Ambassador, whose main goal is to increase diversity and inclusion in the world of golf. This approach will extend to the golf industry, as CORE4 will launch a golf academy that is designed to promote access to golf careers in the industry and pathways to PGA Membership.

Yarmon Kennedy: Yarmon Kennedy serves as Vice President, Planning and Analysis for AIG Retirement Services. In this role, he works in partnership with senior leadership to develop, deploy and measure the impact of strategic organizational initiatives. Mr. Kennedy is also responsible for Customer Experience-related initiatives within AIG Retirement Services. He also serves as the Executive Sponsor for the Houston Black Professional Employee Resource Group at AIG. Mr. Kennedy joined AIG in 2006 and has served in a number of roles, including  Director, Management Planning and Reporting for AIG Group Retirement and Fixed Annuities. Mr. Kennedy earned his Master of Finance degree from Tulane University and Bachelor of Entrepreneurship degree from Hampton University. He is dedicated to improving the livelihoods of those in his local community, particularly youth, as he is an active volunteer with organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Junior Achievement and the Yellowstone Academy.

Freda Lee serves as Senior Vice President, Head of Relationship Management for AIG Retirement Services. As the head of the national practice, she leads a team of Relationship Managers across the U.S., who are responsible for managing defined contribution client relationships with an emphasis on developing retention and growth strategies for the firm’s institutional clients.

Ulonda Crawford: Ulonda Crawford Eurey is the Senior HR Business Partner leading the HR team supporting AIG’s Retirement Services, Retirement and Retail Mutual Fund Marketing, and Retirement Services Information Technology business units. In this role, Ulonda and her team are responsible for driving the people strategy which includes partnering and supporting management in identifying talent, developing and designing the organization, addressing peopl e issues, and implementing initiatives in line with the business’ human capital goals and objectives.
